Like many people, I turned to houseplants during the pandemic. I discovered all of these beautiful plants that I never knew about, and couldn't stop buying them all. But despite my best intentions, I kept killing them. That frustration sparked a deep dive into learning- I read everything I could, listened to plant podcasts, and slowly started to understand what plants really need. Along the way, I realized I wasn’t alone- so many people think they’re “bad at plants,” when really, they just haven’t been shown how to meet their needs. That’s what planted the seed for Wander & Root: a space to help people reconnect with nature, get creative, and learn how to care for their plants without feeling overwhelmed or intimidated. Whether it's through our DIY kits, hands-on workshops, or just finding the right little plant buddy, I’m here to make plant care approachable, joyful, and fun — no green thumb required.
